2 Talent ID and Selection workshops have now been organised:
Thursday 11th February from 4.30pm to 6.30pm at West London Academy, Bengarth Road, Northolt, Middlesex. UB5 5LQ
Thursday 4th March from 4pm to 6pm in Conference Room 3 at North London Business Park, Oakleigh Road South, London N11 1NP
The cost of attending the course is £15 if you are affiliated to England Netball and £20 if you are not affiliated.
England Netball’s new Talent Identification Workshop has been developed to help teachers and club coaches identify talented and potentially talented netballers. This is a certificated course and accredits attendees to nominate athletes to an appropriate level within the County Excel pathway (Satellite and County Academy Level).
The workshop is a CPD opportunity for teachers and club coaches; it will give them a better understanding of what is needed to succeed in netball and how they can help their talented players be the best they can be. Attendees will leave the workshop with an understanding of:
• The England Netball Excel Programmes and Structures
• The characteristics of a talented athlete
• Processes for Talent Identification and Selection
• Selection methods and considerations
• Support available
Please note from September 2010 athlete nominations for Satellite and County Academies will only be considered from accredited nominators or scouts.
