The London Coaching Bursary scheme which ran from October 2007 - April 2008 was hailed a success after more than 800 Londoners (over 100 within North London) benefited from subsidised coaching qualifications since the scheme began. Due to the success of the first round of bursaries a second round of coaching bursaries are now available up until 31st March 2009.
The bursary gives coaches the chance to improve their skills, gain valuable experience and increase employment opportunities in the sport and active leisure sector

To support a more streamlined application process PRO-ACTIVE North London are currently undertaking a needs-analysis with partners in the sub-region to compile a list of potential bursary candidates. If you are a North London organisation that has coaches who will be undertaking a UKCC endorsed coaching qualification before the 31st March 2009 please can you complete the North London Coaching Bursary template and email it back to Matthew Eames m.eames@mdx.ac.uk (Partnership Manager PRO-ACTIVE North London) by 17th October 2008.
